Courteney Cox

Courteney is an American actress, director and producer from the United States. The most famous of her roles is her part in the TV show "Friends," and for playing one of the main roles in the "Scream" movie franchise. Her birthplace was in Birmingham, Alabama and developed an interest in acting as when she was a child. She enrolled to study architectural studies in Mount Vernon College in Washington, DC but she decided to leave her studies to pursue a fulltime acting profession. She made her movie debut by playing in the film 'Down Twisted'. She started gaining recognition after she played one of her most prominent roles in the horror slasher film "Scream'. The film was very well-received commercially and earned 11 times the budget. The film was also praised by public and critics. She reprised her role in all the three sequels from the original film. The fame of her character grew to levels never before after she was cast in an important role on the cult sitcom "Friends". The show won numerous awards and nominations for her role. The show that was a massive hit, aired over ten years. The most recent projects include a part in the drama film 'Mothers and Daughters'. One of the many accolades won by her include she was awarded the TV Guide Award as a result of the performance she made in "Friends," as well as the Golden Derby Award for her part in the TV program 'Cougartown'.
